PROJECT 2013B has it's 22nd confirmed match! There are now 33 confirmed matching pairs over the history of this project and the Zegers/Winograd project that preceded it. Started in October of 2021, Project 2013B now accounts 66.7% of the confirmed matching pairs, and has over 28,566 unique serial numbers registered it its database.

 The 'Washington DC' printed 2013B star note was registered 2023.01.12 by member W7VD7

 Been collecting star notes on and off for about 8 years. However really "caught the bug" two years later when I became a vault clerk in a "big box warehouse". Always made sure I had a pocket full of singles to exchange for any star notes or anything interesting that I had found. This particular note came from a BEP strap pack pulled from a "brick" that I bought a few years ago, way before project 2013B

 So me and my fiance have both been collecting star notes for years. When the news came out about project 2013B we were more than excited. We submitted 12 notes to start and have shockingly found 6 more since. We live in the small town of ********** Montana and my fiance is a bar tender so we have a handful of people in on this. Now that we have a potential match to tell them about it's going to get even better. Thanks for the great idea of making this website. It's really awesome getting us collectors together to find matches. 

 Photos of the bills from both parties officially confirmed a match today.

Background: Followers of this blog are well aware of my posts featuring the times that a pair of matching serial numbers are discovered in the database and photos collected as proof. What you may not be aware of is what I call the 'Matchmaking' phase in which I contact the two note holders, with varying rates of success. There have been cases where I have used 4 different email addresses in hopes that at least one doesn't end up in the recipients spam folder. Then there is the possibility that the registered user entered a secondary email address that they rarely check. As a more thorough approach of getting in contact with note holders, I  now periodically post ALL of the current potential matching pairs that are in my queue. Emphasis on potential, as there are cases where 1 or more note holders have not responded in months (if ever), or as in one case a note holder literally lost their bill.

PROJECT 2013B has it's 21st confirmed match! There are now 32 confirmed matching pairs over the history of this project and the Zegers/Winograd project that preceded it. Started in October of 2021, Project 2013B now accounts for more than two thirds of the confirmed matching pairs, and has over 27,000 unique serial numbers registered it its database.

The 'Washington DC' printed 2013B star note was registered back in 2019, with the matching Fort Worth note registered a month ago. Photos of the bills from both parties officially confirmed a match today.
