Discovery Story
The Fort Worth–printed note was found in routine circulation. No additional discovery details were provided. The owner of the Washington DC-printed note shared the following account:
I found this bill while working as a cashier and bookkeeper at a local truck stop. I always got first dibs on the reload of change from our safe. I would bring a few dollars to work every day, and while sorting ones into increments for a reload, I would trade my own “normal” bills for anything that caught my eye — including all star notes. Later, after watching YouTube videos, I learned about Project 2013B and separated all my 2013 notes that fell into the correct serial range. I’ve been adding them to the project ever since. Thanks for reaching out!
Both discoveries were submitted independently and later confirmed as a matched pair by Project 2013B.
